As mentioned in the recent episode The Mallee, the Murray and the Mayor, Mildura interests me on a several levels and the interview with the city officials you heard in that episode was a great overview of the region, the particular issues they face and what is being attempted from a policy and government perspective.
The other side of that coin is of course what regular folk in Mildura doing at a grassroots level, which is what Saltgrass is all about.
So back in March when I was up there with my travel buddy Trace Balla, we went to check out the local eco village who were having a working bee. As you will hear, every person there was volunteering their time to help out, and also involved in other local climate action groups.
