Important question: Have you ever been curious about maybe starting a podcast or radio show of your own?
If that is the last thing you’d ever want to do, in fact you’d rather swim through a vat of snakes, then feel free to stop reading now.
If, on the other hand, you are kind of curious, but you are not sure… keep reading.

I’ve been talking to the Castlemaine Community house about running a beginners podcasting course, but before even committing to a beginners course, I thought people might like to have a chat about whether podcasting is really for them. So we are running a couple of ‘taster’ sessions.
We will spend a couple of hours together at Castlemaine Community House where I will chat to the group about what you might think about if you wanted to start a podcast.
Friday 7 February 2025
Time: 9.30am – 12.30pm
OR
Sunday 9 February 2025
Time: 1.00pm – 4.00pm
It is super cheap and might help you decide whether to plunge in to follow your podcasting dreams or perhaps work out whether a different medium is the right way to get your message out into the world.
$37.50 (Full) / $32.50 (Early Bird Discount) / $22.50 (Concession)
THEN
If you decide you really do want to start a podcast, I will be running a longer course that will include more of the nitty gritting. We will look at formats, scripting, recording equipment, editing and how to publish and promote your show.
Podcasting 101
Date: Fridays, 28 February to 28 March (5 sessions)
Time: 10.00am – 12.30pm
Cost: $107.50 (Full) / $97.50 (Early Bird Discount available until 20 February) / $87.50 (Concession)
All bookings are through Community House but feel free to reply to this email with any questions.
Please forward this to anyone you know who might be thinking about podcasting. I get emails semi-regularly from people contemplating a podcast and asking for some tips on how to start. I feel like it is something a lot of people consider for one reason or another. So I am hoping that between the taster sessions and the short course, a few people might get the answers they need.
